Benjamin Ventricelli Obituary

Ventricelli, Benjamin
Benjamin A. Ventricelli, age 17, of Fairfield, the beloved son of Anthony and Margaret (Romano) Ventricelli, passed away suddenly on Thursday, February 21, 2013. Born in New Haven, Ben was a sophomore at Fairfield Warde High School. He loved his friends at school and continually challenged his limitations, supported by a team of devoted teachers, therapists, and paraprofessionals. His daily life was guided by the strength and dedication of his adoring parents.
In addition to his parents, Ben is survived by his maternal grandparents, Carol and William Romano, Sr. of Ocean Pines, Maryland and his great grandmother, Frances Margaret Spath of Pelham Manor, NY. He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents, Ralph and Ann Ventricelli. He was treasured by Uncle Ralph and Aunt Sheri Ventricelli and cousins Matthew and Daniel; Aunt Karen and Uncle Mark Young and cousins Bethany, Sam, and Emily; Aunt Kim and Uncle Leo Battista and cousins Matthew, Mollie, and Patrick; Uncle Bill and Aunt Staci Romano and cousins Aiden and Mira.
With his parents, family and friends, Ben enjoyed games at Harbor Yard, trips to Disney World, bowling, baseball, ice hockey, the beautiful beach and glittering boardwalk in Ocean City, Maryland, family parties, music and movement.
Those who loved him will miss his deep blue eyes, his ready smile, and his happy laughter. To know Ben was to love him: He had a pure heart and a sweet spirit.
Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. directly at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment is private. Friends may greet his family on Monday, February 25th from 4-7 p.m. at the Shaughnessey Banks Funeral Home, 50 Reef Road in Fairfield Center.
