Bernard J. Conroy

CONROY Bernard J. Conroy, age 77, of Stratford, beloved husband of the late Marguerite (Johnson) Conroy died Tuesday, September 2, 2003, in Bridgeport Hospital. Mr. Conroy was born June 20, 1926, in Bridgeport, son of the late James and Margaret (McCue) Conroy and had been a life long area resident. He was a United States Navy Veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He retired as Chief of the Hematology Lab of Saint Vincent‰s Hospital. Survivors include four sons, James Conroy, of Hingham, Mass., Richard Conroy, of Westbrook, Conn., Terry Conroy, of Stamford and Lee Conroy, of Stratford; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Damon, of Stratford and Eileen Marcus, of Bronx, N.Y.; and 12 grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Friday, September 5, 2003, at 9:30 a.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street Stratford and at 10:30 a.m. in Saint James Roman Catholic Church, Stratford for a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call Thursday, September 4, 2003, from 4 to 8 p.m.
