Betty Pasquarella Obituary

Betty May Pasquarella
Betty May (Hunt) Pasquarella passed away in Shelton, Connecticut with her family by her side on Friday, January 5, 2024.
Betty was born in Seymour, Connecticut on May 16, 1932 to Anna (Micknak) Hunt and Glen Byron Hunt of Seymour. She graduated from Roger Ludlowe High School in June of 1951, and immediately began her career as a Secretary and Purchasing Agent at Lindquist Hardware located in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
Betty married her beloved husband, Nicholas Joseph Pasquarella, on September 17, 1955, at St. James Church in Stratford, Connecticut, and remained his devoted wife for 34 years residing in Stratford. Betty was a loving mother who adored her children and felt that they could do no wrong praising them often, meticulous with everything she touched, and an excellent cook. When she smiled, it was warm and large, and her beautiful face did not have a wrinkle on it. Unknown to many, in her early years, she was an artist utilizing chalk. Her work was often used in posters advertising for school and local dances.
After raising two children and losing her husband in 1989, Betty returned to the workforce as a Sales Associate at Steinbach Department Store located in Fairfield, Connecticut until her retirement when they closed that branch.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Boveri and her husband, Robert, of Monroe, Connecticut, her son, Wayne Joseph Pasquarella of Shelton, Connecticut, her brother-in-law, Kenneth Steeves, of Shelton, Connecticut, in addition to several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas, her parents, Anna and Glen, her sister, Doris Steeves, her sister, Nellie Kosma and her husband Charles Kosma, and her sister, Pauline Hoyt and her husband, Edward Hoyt.
Friends may call on Thursday from 9:30 am to 11 a.m. in the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral services will be held following calling hours in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
Donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Bishop Wicke Health and Rehabilitation Center, 584 Long Hill Avenue, Shelton, Connecticut 06484, Attention: Debra Samorajczyk. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the entire staff at Bishop Wicke who were so kind in their care for her during the latter years of her life.
