Bill JOHNSON Obituary

JOHNSON On Christmas, December 25, 2009 our Billy mounted his horse and rode from the dark battle of ten years with prostate cancer into the bright sunlight of the "Great Beyond" to be greeted by our Precious Savior and a host of angels, including his dad, Prince, his sister, Beverly, and loving aunts, uncles and other relatives and buddies. Bill was born in Bridgeport Hospital on March 24, 1951. Moved to Trumbull at an early age and graduated from Trumbull High School as president of the Class of 1969. He attended three colleges, Quinnipiac College, Howard University and the University of Bridgeport, but found his life's career at the Connecticut School of Electronics and graduated as an electronic technician. He moved to California and worked for more than 25 years at the Mission Viejo Community Hospital and became supervisor of the Bio-Chemical Division. Bill married and lived many years in Oceanside, Calif. A few years ago, he found a ranch in Anza, Calif., a beautiful mountainous area, where he kept four horses. Bill always was passionate about horses, so what a wonderful, joyous time to live his last days with the things he loved so much. He leaves his circle of loved ones, his children, Michael and Claire; his mother, Louise; his sister, Cynthia; his nephews, Art and Marc Richardson; his niece, Nisha Richardson; his grandnieces, Taja and Lina Richardson; his aunts, Marjorie Diggs, Shirley Cornwell and Vivian Burns; former wife, Renee; his companion, Lora Lowrie; and a fabulous extended family of cousins, relatives and other friends including the Cornwells, Diggs, Hodges, Moheads, Nimses, Ruffs, Stitts, Troianos, and Warrens. A memorial for Bill will be held later.

I will miss my cousin Billy so very much. Although we didn't see each other much after we reached adulthood, which took us in opposite sides of the country.

We had so much fun with each other and love for each other. I am happy that he is no longer in pain ans that he is riding his beloved horses in continual daylight. I LOVE YOU BILLY, ALWAYS!

Dear Mrs. Johnson and Cynthia,
I was very saddened by the news of Billy's death even though I have not seen him in years. I think it is because Billy was always so full of life and happiness.

You are in my thoughts.

It was very sad to hear of Bill's passing. My condolences to his loved ones, family and friends. I worked with Bill at Mission Hospital for many, many years....he always had a smile on his face, a kind word to everyone he came into contact with and laughed easily. He will be missed.

Aunt Lou and Cynthia,
You have always showed this family how important gathering together has been, from every barbeque, wedding celebration and funeral. Billy's death is a hard one for us as was Beve's and every other family member who has passed. Please know we, your family, are gathering in prayer, comfort and support for you during this most difficult time. Please lean on us as we have leaned on you so many times in the past. We are here for you. Loving you deeply,
