Carol Beun Obituary

BEUN Carol H. (Sytsma) Beun, age 82 of Southbury, died peacefully at River Glen Health Center on Tuesday, March 8, 2011, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Henry J.Beun. Mrs. Beun was born April 25, 1928, daughter of the late Frederick and Alice (Hutchinson) Sytsma. She has resided in Southbury for the past four years, previously living in Lakehurst, N.J. Mrs. Beun was a town clerk for the town of Franklin Lakes, N.J. for fifteen years. She enjoyed the Heritage Village Bible study group and was an avid music lover. She leaves two sons, David H. Beun and his wife, Gale of Shelton, and Thomas J. Beun and his wife, Cheryl of Park City, Utah; a daughter, Elaine Beun and her husband, Willam Paley of W. Cornwall; nine grandchildren, David and his wife, Jeannelle, Matt, Katy, Beth, Lindsey, David, Jr., Nicole and Jordan, Amanda; one great-grandson, Quinlin; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at a later date in William C. Doyle Brigadier General Veteran's Cemetery in Arneytown, N.J. Contributions may be made to the National Marfan Foundation, 22 Manhasset Ave., Port Washington, NY 11050, www.marfan.org. The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere, 235 Main St. North is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be made through www.munsonloveterefuneralhome.com.
