Catherine Miejewski Obituary

Catherine A. Fracker Miejewski
Catherine Ann Fracker Miejewski, age 63, of Shelton passed away peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Mark Miejewski. Born in Chatham, New Brunswick, Canada on September 23, 1958 she was the daughter of Arch Fracker of Lordship and the late Rita (Brander) Fracker. Cathy was a dedicated real estate agent with Coldwell Banker for many years and has built many friendships along the way. She was a woman of great faith and a loyal parishioner of St. Lawrence Church. With a lifelong passion for animals, Cathy had served as president of the Shelton Friends of Animals.
A loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister, niece, aunt and friend. Cathy loved to dance at family celebrations and at her husband's band gigs where she would rally the crowd to join in. She enjoyed co-ed softball and had many fun years on the field. Throughout her life she rescued and loved many kittens, most recently, Mufasa. She never missed a birthday and always sent a thoughtful card without fail. She was the kind, and patient caregiver for family members when they needed it most. Cathy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her father and beloved husband Mark of 32 years, she is survived by her cherished Aunt Edna; her two brothers, James Fracker (Susan), and Ken Fracker; sisters-in-law Sharmayne Wesler (Steve), and Michele Martire (Joe); as well as several nieces, nephews, grandnephews and nieces; close cousin in Georgia, a big Canadian family and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends of Cathy and Mark may greet the family on Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
The family wishes to thank the Yale New Haven Hospital Medical ICU Staff for their wonderful care and concern; most especially Cathy's exceptional Nurses - Missy and Kwame. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Friends of the Shelton Animal Shelter (FSAS), P.O. Box 2036, Shelton, CT 06484. For online condolences, please visit us at www.abriola.com.

Mark and family, I didn't know Cathy personally, but from what I've head and read, she was a wonderful woman and a blessing to so many. During this Christmas season, I realize it is difficult to just rely on good memories, but it isn't impossible. I will pray for her peace in Heaven, and for peace in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. pax et bonum, Fran Karpiej

To all of Cathy´s dear Family,

On behalf of the Gill Family from Barnaby River, New Brunswick, Canada, we are very sorry to hear of Cathy´s passing.

What a beautiful tribute to a wonderful lady. Her obituary is very well written and sure sounds like she enjoyed a great life.

Helen and Clement had Sandra; Kevin; Michael; Maura; Pauline; Beverly and John. Kevin; Michael and Pauline are now deceased.

I think Cathy and Beverly were the same age, and Beverly has spoken highly of her often over the years.
