Charles Litwaitis Obituary

LITWAITIS Charles J. Litwaitis, age 74, of Fairfield, a retired employee of Bridgeport Machines, died on Tuesday, November 30, 2004, at the home of his niece. Born in Pittston, Pa., Mr. Litwaitis had been an area resident for more than 30 years. Prior to Bridgeport Machines, he had worked for the Moore Special Tool Co. for many years. He was a member of the East End Yacht Club. Survivors include a sister, Helene Hinklein and her husband, William, of Hallandale, Fla.; a niece, Joanne Stelmaszek and her husband, Adam, of Fairfield; two nephews, Charles Galinas and his wife, Joan, of Hammonton, N.J., and Robert Chebby and his wife, Mary Ann, of Rochester, N.Y. Friends may call on Wednesday (TODAY) from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Spear Funeral Home, 39 South Benson Road, Fairfield. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with the Rev. Guido Montanaro officiating. Interment will be private in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the United Visiting Nurse Hospice, 40 Lindeman Drive, Trumbull, CT 06611.
