Charles Pitcher Obituary
Charles Douglas Pitcher (Charlie) age 88 passed away with his loving family by his side on February 19, 2023 in Boynton Beach, Florida. Charles was born in Danbury, CT on December 13, 1934 to the late Laura and Horace Pitcher. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Janice DelVecchio Pitcher.
Charlie lived most of his life in Connecticut before moving to Florida 7 years ago. He owned and operated C.D. Pitcher Appraisal Company in Stratford, CT, served on the Greater Bridgeport Board of Realtors as president and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Charlie also served his country in the US National Guard and Army Reserves. He was an avid Yankees and Giants fan and a great golfer.
Charlie is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Pitcher, his loving sons and daughters-in-law, Charles Pitcher and Angela Picarazzi-Pitcher and Kevin Essery and Eleanor Essery and cherished grandchildren Charles, Jonathan and Emily Pitcher. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend and is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral mass was celebrated on February 24, 2023 at Saint Thomas More Church in Boynton Beach, FL followed by entombment and committal service at Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, FL.
A mass of intention will take place on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 8:00 am at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Trumbull, CT.
