Christopher Lavorgna
Christopher Lavorgna, age 58, of Seymour, entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2024 in Amston after battling a long illness. He was born in New Haven on February 4, 1965, son of the late John and Barbara Lavorgna. Christopher was a 1983 graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Trumbull. He went on to earn a degree from Berkley College of Music and Southern Connecticut State University. He worked for his family's contracting business throughout the years. Christopher was a highly gifted musician who could play many instruments, but he was most fond of his Gibson Les Paul guitar.
Christopher is survived by his sister, Barbara Lavorgna, brother, John Lavorgna and his wife Tari, and nephews, Scott Peters, John Lavorgna III, and Anthony Lavorgna.
Friends may greet the family on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. On Friday, his funeral service will begin in the funeral home at 10:00 a.m.. Burial will follow at Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. The family would like to thank Gretchen and Jayson for their care and support throughout the last few years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Christopher's memory to Continuum of Care, Inc. Attn: Fund Development, 109 Legion Ave., New Haven, CT 06519.
