Christopher Mauro Obituary

Christopher Mauro
Christopher B Mauro, born January 18, 1972, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
Chris is survived by his parents, Bonaventura and Joyce Mauro; his sister Laura Vega (Pedro Jr); his sister Karen Lynn (Jonathan); nephews Pedro III and Anthony Vega; nieces Rhiannon Leandres and Skylar Lynn; and several cousins, aunts and an uncle.
Chris was a graduate of Sacred Heart University. He was an avid bowler. After graduation he also coached the Sacred Heart Bowling team. Chris loved spending time with his immediate family, playing games, cooking, watching the NE Patriots and he loved poker.
The joys of his life were his nephews and nieces. He lived to make them laugh and would do everything in his power to make their dreams come true.
Chris loved people. He always had the gift of "gab". He loved to make friends, family and strangers laugh. He had an extremely huge heart and would help anyone. He would volunteer his time to the Beth-El Center Soup Kitchen, Milford. Those who knew him well also knew he was a great salesman and could sell ice to an eskimo.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. DIRECTLY at Holy Infant Church, 450 Racebrook Road, Orange. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Additional parking available in the adjacent lot at the Baldwin Center. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Chris' memory to Beth-El Center at bethelmilford.org (click "Donate Now" at the top and then "Celebrated Giving"). I've had the pleasure of bowling in the same league as Chris for many years. He was kind, personable and was always willing to share his incredible knowledge of the game. He definitely helped make me a better bowler. He will be missed greatly by all of us down at the alley.

Chris was one of the Kindest, funniest and generous people I'll ever know. For years he was like a brother to me. The world lost one of the good ones way too early.

To Bon, Joyce, Laura and Karen, I can't fathom what you are going through right now. Just like Chris was a brother to me, you were all like family, and I will never forget all that you did for me when I was growing up.

May he rest in peace, and never forget that he will always be with you in spirit and live on in the memories we all have of him.

God bless and sincerest condolences,

Ralph and Denise Cerminara
