Torre, Claire T.
Claire T. Torre, age 81, of Shelton, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 3, 2012 in her home with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of the late Frank J. Torre. Claire was born on December 11, 1930 in Bronx, NY daughter of the late John Stevens and the late Bertha Aronson. She was a receptionist for Chesebrough Ponds for many years before her retirement. She was the loving mother of three sons; Frank Torre and his wife Kristi, Anthony Torre, Christopher Torre and his wife Diane and one daughter; Marian Moore. Claire also leaves nine cherished grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 4 - 7 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby, CT. On Thursday, her funeral will leave the funeral home at 8:30 am for a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church, Shelton at 9 am. Burial will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Stamford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the CT Hospice, 100 Double Beach Rd., Branford, CT 06405.
