Clara Dickervitz Obituary
July 1934 – December 2022
Clara passed into eternal rest on December 30, 2022.
Mom was born in Providence, Rhode Island to Lorenzo and Dora Agresto and raised in Cranston. In July 1955 mom married the love of her life, George "Skip" Dickervitz. They relocated to Stratford, Connecticut in 1963.
Clara was involved in many fields. She loved cooking for her family (using many favorite family recipes) and she loved singing, from solos at Providence High School, to the St. James Quire. She also sang in the production of Gilbert and Sullivan at Johnson Junior High School.
Clara was employed at Read's Department Store and Feet Street in Paradise Green. She was a wonderful seamstress. Mom made clothes and did alterations for anyone who asked. To her credit she made the costumes for the play "Gypsy Rose Lee" at the Poke a Dot Playhouse and she worked at the Shakespeare Theater. Mom also participated with Sterling House Art shows.
With all this at hand she raised three fine boys.
A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Clara is survived by her sons, George Jr. (Eileen), Stephen (Maggie), Eric (Tanya), along with four beautiful grandchildren, George III (Robert), Matthew (Becky), Niko, and Nina.
Upon retirement mom and dad relocated to Lakeland, Florida where they shared time with her older brother Bill and Ann Agresto. Their happiest times were when their grandkids came to visit.
Clara was predeceased by one sister, Olga and three brothers, Anthony, Bill, and Larry. Services are private.

My Condolences to George, Steven and Eric and their families on the loss of their Mother/grandmother.
I have many fond memories of Mrs Dickervitz. She was truly Beautiful, soft spoken and such the sweetest.
She truly loved her boys and husband dearly. She was talented in her sewing and I remember often her talking about her creations.
