Oesau, Constance W.
Constance Wells Oesau, age 82, of Fairfield, beloved wife of Harold (Mike) Oesau, M.D., passed away peacefully in her home Sunday, August 16, 2015. Born in Bridgeport, but a Stratford citizen and a graduate of Stratford High School, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Elsie Wells, she lived in Stratford until her marriage in 1955. She spent the next 14 years living and working to assist with her husband's education, living in Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Bridgeport until moving to Fairfield in 1968. Mrs. Oesau was a former member of the Patterson Club, was an avid tennis player and enjoyed her weekly Bridge games with her friends. A sociable, outgoing woman with a great sense of humor, Connie delighted in entertaining her friends and family. Survivors in addition to her loving husband Mike include two beloved sons, Michael Thomas Oesau of Shelton and Timothy Wells Oesau and his wife Janell of Maple Grove, MN; a sister, Joan Birks of Stratford; two cherished grandchildren, Emmett and Maeve Oesau; and three nephews, James, Martin and Kibby Birks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, August 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. meeting directly at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 149 South Pine Creek Road, Fairfield. Interment will be private, and prior calling hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
