Corona Fischer Obituary

FISCHER Corona (Connie) J. Fischer, age 81, of Illinois and formerly a longtime resident of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Joseph M. Fischer, died on Satruday, June 30, 2007. Mrs. Fischer was born in Ft. Kent, Maine, on July 14, 1925 to the late Frederick and Evelyn Daigle Ouellette, and was a Bridgeport resident for over 50 years prior to moving to Illinois a few years ago. She was a longtime parishioner and former member of the Madonna Guild of St. Ambrose Church. Mrs. Fischer was on the Board of Directors of Success Park, a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels and a member of the Baldwin Center. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Walker and her husband, Kevin of Oswego, Illinois, and Janice Fischer of Bridgeport; a beloved granddaughter, Lauren Walker; two sisters-in-law, Mary Ouellette of Branford, and Emily Ouellette of Lewiston, Maine and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Fischer was predeceased by brothers, Bert, Peter and Ronald Ouellette; and by sisters, Fern Blecher and Bonnie Lydiksen. Friends are invited to attend the Funeral on Friday at 8:30 a.m. from the Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Ambrose Church, Bridgeport with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in Mt. Grove Cemetery of Easton. Friends may call on Thursday 4 to 7 p.m.

Jan, Pat & family. Please accept my deepest condolences for the loss of your mom. I knew her throughout the 19 years that Jan worked @ BHA. She was trully a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. May God bless you all throughout these difficult times and may Connie forever rest in peace. Dear Jan, Pat and Family-
