Daniel Calloway Obituary
Daniel D. Calloway Jr., age 67, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Beverly Mason Calloway, passed away Sunday, August 4, 2013, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. Daniel was born in Providence, RI, son of Helen Adams Calloway of Trumbull and the late Daniel D. Calloway Sr. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Connecticut and his Masters from the Wharton School of Business. Daniel was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the National Guard and retired Vice President of Sales for the Woman's Division of Levi Strauss. His community service involved the Rotary Club, Trumbull Board of Education, Trumbull Culture Diversity Commission, Discovery Museum and former member of Christ Church Tashua, where he served on the board of Deacons and the Finance Committee. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by a son, Daniel D. Calloway III of Silver Springs, MD, a daughter, Crystal N. Shabazz of West Haven and a granddaughter, Faith Shabazz. Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, August 9th, at 6:00p.m., in the Redgate - Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, with words of remembrance.
