Daniel Gorlo Obituary

GORLO Daniel Gorlo, age 60 of Bridgeport, passed away suddenly on May 18, 2010 at Bridgeport Hospital. Daniel was born in Bridgeport on December 29, 1949 to Margaret Chanda Gorlo of Bridgeport and the late John P. Gorlo and has been a life long area resident. He attended Holy Name School and graduated from Fairfield Prep, and received his BA from the University of Oklahoma, where he received the prestigious award for "Best in Art." He also attended New York University and was a member of the Writing and Poetry Guilds. He was chosen as a Poet Laureate, and was a member of the ASCAP Writer's Guild and the Eagle Scouts of America. Daniel was a musician and was the owner of Daniel's Piano Service. Survivors include his beloved mother, Margaret; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 21st at 11 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford with Rev. John Pawelchak officiating. My heart is very sad. I will miss my friend, Daniel, very much. I will always be thankful for all the wonderful things he did for me. I will miss the music we were able to share and the way he could make me laugh at myself. I will always wonder about the plans we talked about for the future. May his soul rest in peace.
