Patti, Jay and Mr. & Mrs. Griswold, it is with great sorrow that I sign this book today, I just heard from Jay of Dave's passing. I wish I had some deep meaningful thing to say, but all I have is that I am deeply sorry for your loss. I wish I could say it would get easier, but I can't, because I know from experience it doesn't, time just moves in slow motion until one day, years have passed by and you still feel like it was yesterday. Although I haven't seen Dave since we graduated 30 years ago, I have fond memories of our times together, all of us. I just wanted you to know I am thinking of you in this time of deep sadness, and pray that you find comfort in knowing that Dave was so well liked and remembered. I am sorry I hadn't seen him, but know he was a good person, because so many loved him. Take care and again, my deepest sympathy.

We offer our deepest sympathies to the Griswold and Morel families for their loss. Dave was a great neighbor and friend. My son Joshua and I rebuilt a 1972 Nova and without Dave’s help it would never have turned out as great as it did. I will always have memories of Dave offering his advice, his tools and getting dirty with us under the hood to make the project a success.
Dave was a true car guy.

To the Griswold Family, There is no way to express the pain we felt when we heard about Dave. He was a great guy and a great friend. We have to believe Johnny was there to meet him as soon as he got to heaven. We have to believe that in order to make any sense out of why two wonderful young men had to leave us at the prime of thier lives. Know you are in our hearts and thoughts and prayers

Karen, Rob,Amy, Matt, Bryan, Staci, Richard, Uncle Bob, Aunt, Cousin Patti,Family,No words can properly express our sorrow for so abruptly losing David. We look back at the joy he shared for the love of life. We will cherish the memories we have of him; his shear happiness when he was around Karen and his family, the love of baseball and the ability to jump in a car for a spontaneous road trip. It is our memories that provide us comfort, we can only hope that when the cloud of grief even slightly lifts, you too will be able to see the collections of memories you have and be able to carry on with a full life as David so beautifully did.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will miss his smiling face. He touched both of our lives.
