David G. McCarthy

McCARTHY David G. McCarthy, age 67, of the Huntington section of Shelton, died on Monday, May 24, 2004, at his home. Mr. McCarthy was born in Camden, N.J., and was a Huntington resident for more than 30 years. He was founder and owner of Electri-Cable Assemblies Inc. He graduated from Drexel University with a degree in electrical engineering. An inventor and engineer, he obtained many patents throughout his career. Survivors include his wife, Jean Cassidy McCarthy of Huntington; two sons, David J. McCarthy and his wife, Helen, of Audubon, N.J., and Edward Barry McCarthy and his wife, Donna, of Woodstown, N.J.; three daughters, Coleen Mills and her husband, Jack, of Hamden, Carey Brassell and her husband, Dan, of Milford, and Terry Fritz and her husband, Dan, of New Jersey; one sister, Kathleen Kramer of Atlantic City, N.J.; 11 grandchildren: Kelly Franz, Ryan McCarthy, Dalton Robertston, Christian McCarthy, Abby Mills, John Mills, Stephanie Halepin, Brianna Brassell, David Fritz, Terry Fritz and Jillian Fritz; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend funeral services on Friday at 11 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Avenue, Huntington. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Thursday (TODAY) from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Cyril F. Mullins Trumbull Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road.
