David P. Stegeman, 69, passed February 17, 2013. He was born December 20, 1943 in Stratford, Connecticut. Dave was the son of the late David and Joan (Spada) Stegeman. He was a loving husband for 26 years to Deanna (Hollabaugh) Stegeman. Dave began as an Assistant Golf Professional at Lehigh Country Club and then worked as an Assistant Professional at Woodbury Country Club, NJ. His first opportunity as a Head Professional was at Lost Creek Golf Club in Oakland Mills, PA. From 1980-1984, he served as Head Professional at Gettysburg Country Club. Dave assisted top 100 PGA Instructor, Ted Sheftic at the Pace- Sheftic School of Golf in Vero Beach, Florida. Most recently, Dave was associated with The Links at Gettysburg as PGA Director of Instruction. In addition to his wife, Dave is survived by one niece, Elizabeth Mastroianni and two nephews, G. Scott and Peter Stegeman all of Connecticut. He was predeceased by a brother, Gregory R. Stegeman. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 Franklin Street, Biglerville, PA. Interment will be at 10:00 AM in the Biglerville Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, Dave requests memorial contributions can be made to the "Greater Philadelphia Junior Golf Foundation."
