UNDERHILL, DEBORAH
Deborah Underhill, 59 of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest Monday, May 30, 2016 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Whitakers, NC to the late Louis D. and Willia M. Holmes, "Debbie" has been a resident of Bridgeport for the past thirty years. She was a retired mechanical machine operator from Pitney Bowes with twenty-five years of service. Her last employment was a commercial bus driver with G.B.T.A. Her spiritual needs were met as a disciple of the First Baptist Church of Stratford where she served on the Women's Fellowship Ministry and the Security Ministry. "Debbie" served as a foster parent with the Dep. of Social Services. In addition to her parents a brother Louis E. Underhill predeceased her. She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Tayquon Underhill; two daughters, Alexis underhill and Shakeisha Hamilton all of Bridgeport; her step-mother, Mary L. Underhill of NC; six brothers, Clarence, Ronnie and Derrick Underhill of Bridgeport, Donnie and James Underhill of NC and Robert Underhill of Trumbull; seven sisters, Linda Graves of Bridgeport, Joan Davis of Milford, Doris Kadoura of FL, Cynthia Underhill of MD, Shirley Underhill of NV, Angela Armston and Mary Ann Williams of NC; two grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 6, 2016, 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Stratford, 1301 Stratford Ave., Stratford, CT with Dr. William B. Sutton, III, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Easton. Friends are invited to the viewing Monday from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the church. See www.mortonsmortuary.com.
