Diane Casimiro Obituary
Diane Mary Casimiro, 77, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, passed away peacefully at home on March 10, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1949, to John Cosmo Casimiro and Mary Dorothy Slosar Casimiro. Diane worked as a hairdresser and was known for her caring nature and warm personality. She had a deep love for animals and especially cherished her two faithful dogs, Taras and Snow. She is survived by her son, Jason Ference; her siblings, Patricia Casimiro and John Casimiro; and her faithful companion, Bruce Kale. All services were held privately. Dear Jason and Patricia, I am so very sorry and so shocked to hear of your mom's and sister's death. Diane had been my hairdresser going back to Master Cuts, but more than that, we were friends. Three years ago, I had to move from CT to MA because of health issues to be near my son, but I still kept in touch with Diane as she was one of the friends I missed the most. I recently sent her a text and was surprised she hadn't answered even though I know she didn't really like texts; but she would reply. I thought her not replying was strange, but I have been undergoing radiation treatments myself so I hadn't checked the CT Post's obituaries and had no idea she had died. I'm so gutted by her death. I know, Jason, how much she loved you; she talked about you all the time. And her two beautiful dogs made her so happy. We often talked about our dogs, and the last time we spoke, I told her mine was 13 years old. I am so, so distressed by her death, and I am so sorry for both of you as you cope with your grief, She has always been in my evening prayers, and I will continue to pray for her and the both of you. My sincere condolences to the Casimiro family for your loss! My love for Diana (as she liked to be called) started back when we were teenagers and then after sixty two years my prayers were answered when we met again! I am very sad and heartbroken because I was only able to spend a year and seven days with her before our Lord called her home! Rest in peace my LOVE!

I cannot believe Diane has left us in this world, but I can only imagine her warm heart, incredible kindness, and smile brighter than the best of days are even more wonderful as she watches from above. I know she loved her son and family and friends around her so much - you could see it in her eyes. I´ll never forget how good she made me and those around her feel. We miss you. Thoughts and prayers to those who knew her and loved her the most.
