Dominick Ferranti Obituary
Dominick William (Nooch) Ferranti Jr., age 49 of Stratford passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 16, 2016. He was the loving husband of Gina Iannuzzi Ferranti. Born in Bridgeport on March 31, 1967 he was a son of Sandra Wheway Ponitowski of Seymour and Dominick W. Ferranti Sr. and his wife Cindy of Ormond Beach, FL. He was a proud US Air Force Veteran who served in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm. Nooch was a field service engineer with Van Dyk Baler Co. in Stamford for many years. He was an avid hunter and lived for the game of softball. Nooch was dedicated to his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers. In addition to his parents and devoted wife Gina he is survived by his five children; Lauren Marie Ferranti of Shelton, Kaitlyn Mae Ferranti of North Haven, Taylor Stevens of Bridgeport, Dominick W. Ferranti III and Angelo Peter Ferranti both of Stratford. He is also survived by his sister Lisa Marie Dion of Oxford and his grandchildren, Gianna Jade Ferranti and Adriana Sofia Calandrelli, also several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends. Graveside services will take place on Thursday, July 21, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull with full military honors. Friends may greet the family on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Dennis & D'Arcy – Abriola & Kelemen Funeral Home, 2611 Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to the family for the educational future for Dominick and Angelo. For online condolences please visit www.dennisanddarcy.com

So sorry to hear about the passing of such a great guy. We all loved his prolific Facebook posts and his humour. Dom lived behind me on Light Street in Stratford in elementary school. He was a practical jokester and put a snowball in my hoodie one day after school. I couldn't understand where the water was coming from! He made us all smile and laugh. Let's remember that about him.
