Doris Konecny Obituary

KONECNY Doris Marie Doorfee Konecny, age 90, of Stratford, died on Friday, August 6, 2004, at Connecticut Hospice, Branford. She was the widow of Frank W. Konecny. Born in Bridgeport to the late Eugene and Jennie DelGrasso Doorfee, she resided in Stratford for the last 11 years. Mrs. Konecny was retired from the business office at St. Vincent's Medical Center, Bridgeport. She is survived by her beloved children, two sons, Leonard Konecny and his wife, Linda, of Southbury, and Frank W. Konecny Jr. and his wife, Anne, of Northford; one daughter, Carol Guay of Stratford; six grandchildren: Leah, David, Mark, Emily, Alisha and Laura; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, in St. Mark Church, Stratford, at 11 a.m. Entombment will be in St. Michael Garden Mausoleum. Friends may call on Tuesday from 9:15 to 10:15 a.m. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Doris' memory to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road, Branford, CT 06405.
