Duilio DiCocco Obituary
Duilio (Dewey) A. DiCocco, age 84, of Trumbull, CT entered eternal rest on November 29, 2021. Born August of 1937 in Fontechiari, Frosinone, Italy. He immigrated to the US in 1952 where he started work at the E&F Construction Company. He worked as a supervisor for 38 years until his retirement in 1990. He then worked with his beloved nephew Anthony at Advance Steel for a decade. His many passions include gardening, wine making, tending to his various fruit trees, watching westerns, and sharing his love of the Italian culture with his family, grandkids, and friends.
Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Giovanna, his son Joseph, daughter, Patricia (Fred), Thomas (Wendy) six adored grandchildren, Christina, Stephanie and Samantha DiBenedetto and Courtney, Kristopher and Devin DiCocco, his sister, Loreta Polsinelli, and in-laws, Jackie Posta, Tomassina Posta, Albert and Vincenza Parravano, Luigi and Anna Sardelli, Tony Andrzejewski, and Linda Posta as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Antonio and Pasqua, his brothers; Ernest, Amedeo and his beloved nephews; Anthony and Junior.
Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull with a Mass of the Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may attend a walk-through visitation on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Ave., Bridgeport. Please wear a mask and respect social distancing to all services. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38205, in memory of Duilio.
