Earla Dimitriadis Obituary

Earla Dawn Dimitriadis
Earla Dawn Dimitriadis (nee Ritz), 66, of Stratford, died Saturday, December 5, 2020 at St. Vincent's Medical Center of Covid-19. A resident of Stamford for most of her adult life, Earla later relocated to Stratford, with the love of her life, Nick Dimitriadis, whom she married on July 6, 2013.
She was born on January 16, 1954, in Goshen, NY. Not having the opportunity to graduate from high school, Earla persevered against all odds and went on to not only earn a bachelor's degree, but also obtain a master's degree in Psychology from the University of Phoenix. Earla worked for over 25 years with ROSCCO, a non-profit organization that works collaboratively with the Stamford Public Schools, where she earned the title of Operations Manager. Earla's passion for her life's work undoubtedly impacted the lives of many children in Stamford over the years.
Earla was a gifted artist who possessed an unending stream of creativity, which she happily shared with the world. She crafted an original play that was performed on stage at the Stamford Palace Theater and later in life, went on to create her own business selling handcrafted jewelry.
Earla is survived by her husband, Nick Dimitriadis; three children, Edward Mulford, Amanda Ritz and Jennifer Ritz Sullivan and her husband Corcoran; three step-children, Christine Nunn and her husband Patrick, Stacy Kopald and her husband Kevin and Susan Fekete and her husband Steven; and six grandchildren, Jaron Mulford, Kayla Mulford, Lucas Nunn, Logan Kopald, and Emma and Julia Fekete.
Earla passed, knowing she was loved and made an impact on the world. Our family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in memory of Earla Dawn Dimitriadis to one of the following organizations: No Kids Hungry (CoronaVirus Response): https://secure.nokidhungry.org/site/Donation2?df_id=18769&mfc_pref=T&18769.donation=form1&s_src=bannerbutton&s_subsrc=210WAGN1R&_ga=2.17716991.753238881.1607375256-521432411.1607375256, or to the Mental Health Association in Orange County, Inc.: http://www.mhaorangeny.com/pg/programsandservices.html.
In addition, we ask that you extend both gratitude and kind gestures to those healthcare workers in your community serving on the frontlines of the global pandemic.

I just saw this on CNN - I'm so sorry for your loss and for so many others in the U.S. and everywhere - I just want to say what a beautiful and gifted person she seems to be and what a shame she is lost to this terrible pandemic.

will always remember spending nights with Jennifer and Amanda and the fun in laughter in her home. I can’t believe she’s gone, way too soon. I’m so grateful she’s no longer in pain and is with her maker. We love you, Aunt Earla
