Edward Berry Obituary
Edward "Eddie" Berry, Jr passed away recently while on a Caribbean Cruise. Eddie was born in 1954 and lived most of his life in Bridgeport with his partner of 44 years, Elizabeth "Betsy" Finch Berry. Betsy and Eddie met while serving the clients of the Cerebral Palsy Center where they both worked for many years. Eddie also worked at Scotty's Sanitation and later at Prime Resources. Eddie is a graduate of Bassick High School.
Eddie is predeceased by his father Edward Berry and a sister Sheila Berry. He is survived by his mother Geraldine Berry, his sister Renee Torres and her husband Angel Torres, brothers Reggie Berry, Earl Mundle, and sisters Pam Hayes and Tracey Mackey. He leaves behind several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. He will be missed by many.
The family would like to thank Royal Caribbean Cruises for their support during his final cruise.
Calling hours will take place on Friday, February 25, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Commerce Hill Funeral Home, 4798 Main St., Bridgeport. The family asks that everyone who will be attending the walkthrough visitation, please wear masks in the funeral home. My deepest sympathy to Elizabeth. Eddie was a special guy. We at S8 loved his pineapple upside-down cake.He lived his life on his terms. He will be sorely missed.
