Dorne, Edward A.
Edward A. Dorne, 87, of Trinity, passed away peacefully, on Sept. 13, 2015 after a long illness. He was born on Aug. 29, 1928 in Bridgeport, CT. Ed is survived by his wife of 62 years, Virginia (Ginny) Dorne; daughters, Nancy (John) Nilsen and Debbie (James) Krotki; son, Eric (Sue) Dorne; nine grandchildren; and seven great- grandchildren. Prior to his retirement, Ed was in management for the A&P Tea Company for 43 years. He was also an active member of the Fairfield, CT town government. Ed also served his country in the Army National Guard for over 10 years. In his retirement, Ed was very active in the community. He enjoyed bowling, bocce, talking politics and playing pool with the guys at the club. Ed had a lifelong passion for his beloved Boston Red Sox which he shared with his family and created unforgettable memories. His legacy will never be forgotten and his loving memories will remain with us always. The services to celebrate Ed's long and fulfilling life will be held at Trinity Memorial Gardens Thursday, Sept. 17, with friends received at 1:30 pm and a service will follow at 2:30 pm. Per the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HPH Hospice in appreciation for the compassionate and wonderful care they provided.

Mrs Dorne, Nancy, Debbie and Ricky, I am really saddened to hear this news. Mr. Dorne was the living definition of a good neighbor. Kind, fair, silly with kids, not afraid to help out and so much more. Will be keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.
