Knew my uncle only through stories told by my mom, we lived too far away. I'd ask with interest what's up with your brother because he was always up to something interesting. Rest in Peace Uncle Ed and may time quickly heal those who miss you.

Growing up, trips to the firehouse meant seeing Dad at work, climbing on the trucks, sounding the sirens and visiting the "guys". Among them, Mr. Kreitler, always with a smile, a big hug and a great story! We were fortunate to be part of the families of Local 998. Thank you for sharing your husband, father and grandfather with us. He will always hold a special place in our hearts.

A lifelong friend of our family. A man who was loved by all who met him. The mere mention of his name always brought a smile to my face. Longfellow said it best "When a great man dies, for years the light he leaves behind him, lies on the paths of men." Our most heartfelt condolences.
