Eileen Ann (Gordon) Parker, age 86, daughter of the late John and Ann Gordon, passed away on October 3, 2022 at her home in Wallingford, surrounded by her family.
Eileen lived most of her life in Bridgeport, and in Wallingford for the past 6 years. In addition to raising her children, she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years at the Carlton Convalescent Home in Fairfield.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Bruce Gordon; her beloved sister-in-law, Marcelle Gordon; and her late life companion, Ronald Johnson Sr.
She is survived by her brother, John Gordon and his wife, Leslie; her son, Donald Parker and his, wife Jodi; daughter, Cathleen Owen and her husband, Austin; and sons, Kevin Parker and Shawn Parker. Her grandchildren, Julieann (Owen) Ortega and her husband, Jon, Marissa (Parker) Burke and her husband, Joe, Emilie (Parker) Kean and her husband, Matthew, Brandon Owen and his companion, Niki Hess, Rebecca (Parker) Miller and her husband, Mike and Tyler Owen and his fiancé, Brianna Foster; and her greatest source of joy these past 17 months, great-grandsons, Milo Burke and Jackson Kean.
The family would like thank the doctors and staff the Midstate Hospital Cancer Institute for their care and support, and the caring staff at Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care, especially Michelle Niemotko.
A Funeral Mass will be held on October 8, 2022 at 10:30am at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, 545 Stratfield Rd. Fairfield, CT. Friends may call on the family immediately following the Mass.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Eileen's memory be made to the Franciscan Home Care and Hospice Care, 267 Finch Ave., Meriden, CT 06451.
