Michael A. Esposito III

Michael A. Esposito, III, of Wallingford, passed away on March 17, 2026, at his home. He was the beloved husband of the late Nancy Ciarlo Esposito.

Michael was born in New Haven on May 2, 1958, the eldest of three children, and the son of the late Michael A. Esposito, Jr. and Marie Parisi Esposito.

He is survived by his sisters, Jeanine Esposito (Frederic Chiu) and Maria Esposito; his nephew, Noah Johnson; his stepdaughters, Loreen Nicolai Fox (Paul Fox) and Cheryl Choiniere; and his grandchildren, Toni Caggiano (Justin Carpenter), Shelby Choiniere, and Jordan Choiniere. He is also survived by many loving cousins, aunts, and uncles.

From a young age, Michael had a love for reading, and he was known to read encyclopedias and science books cover to cover. He was an avid collector, had a passion for designing model trains, and tinkering with just about anything. It was fitting that he dedicated 44 years of his life to a career as a Master Mechanic at Pratt & Whitney.

Michael was a proud husband and family man. He was deeply devoted to his loved ones and took great pride in them. He was the keeper and storyteller of cherished family history and lore. His big heart, gentle soul, and selfless love made him extremely special to all who knew him.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday morning from 8:30–9:30 a.m. at the Iovanne Funeral Home (11 Wooster Pl, New Haven, CT 06511). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated immediately following visiting hours at 10:00 a.m. in Blessed Michael McGivney Parish at St. Michael Church (29 Wooster Pl, New Haven, CT 06511). Burial will follow at All Saints Cemetery (700 Middletown Ave, North Haven, CT 06473).
