Michael J. Gargano

Seymour - Michael John Gargano, 60 of Seymour beloved husband of Kimberley Hink-Gargano (neé Czajkowski) went home to be with the Lord on March 17th, 2026 peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born in Derby on March 15th, 1966, he was the cherished son of Patricia Gargano and the late Joseph Gargano Sr.

Michael was a lifelong resident of Seymour. Michael attended Seymour High School where he played 4 years of football earning All Valley in 1983 his senior year. Michael furthered his education and obtained his bachelor's degree at Southern Connecticut State University. Throughout his lifetime Michael was employed with the State of Connecticut Judicial, Pitney Bowes, the Credit Bureau of Connecticut and finally Xactus Corporation.

In his free time Michael enjoyed working with the youth of his hometown. Dedicating 35 years to Seymour Pop-Warner. Coaching on the Pee-Wee, Junior Midget and Midget levels as head coach. Earning a championship for the division in 2003. He later served as the president of the organization and won the award for volunteer of the year in the 2010s.

In addition to his beloved wife, Michael leaves behind to cherish memory his mother, Patricia Gargano. He also leaves behind daughter, Melissa Blyth (Christopher) of North Haven; son, James Peter Hink III (Katherine) of Manhattan, New York; and son Daniel Hink of East Haven. Michael adored his 2 granddaughters, Samantha and Adalynn Blyth, who affectionately called him Pop-pop. He leaves behind his treasured brother, Joseph Gargano Jr. (Cheryl) and his children Krista (Matthew) and Tyler; sister, Mary Ann Carubia (Dino) He will also be greatly missed by his in-laws, nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his father, Joseph Gargano Sr,; aunt, Margaret Turschmann; and grandmother, Mildred Chagin.

Relatives and friends can greet the family from 5pm to 8pm on Monday, March 23rd, 2026 in the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 W. Church St. Seymour, CT 06483 with a service celebrating his life taking place at 8pm in the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. The Family would also like to thank the Medical Intensive Care Unit at Yale New Haven Hospital along with friends of the Family Travis Velez, Kris Kern and the Hink Family for their loving care.
