Eleanor Micalizzi Obituary
Eleanor Lisi Micalizzi, of Bridgeport entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 8, 2013 at St. Vincent Medical Center. She was born in Bridgeport, a lifelong resident, and the daughter of the late John and Mary Caruso Lisi. Eleanor was lovingly know as "El" or E". She loved to laugh and had a great sense of humor. El had a huge heart. She lived for her family and loved to cook. She was famous for her Sunday macaroni and meatball dinners. Eleanor had a gift for writing unique poetry. She loved to shop and if she knew you needed something you could consider it done. Christmas at Eleanor's house was truly something special and she loved great big family gatherings. She was the sunshine of her family's lives and she will be Sorely missed. Survivors include her children, Sharon Micalizzi, Maureen Stacy and her husband Gene, Dr Philip Micalizzi Jr and wife Donna, Robin Micalizzi and Dr. Gerald Micalizzi. Nine cherished grandchildren whom she loved, Leonard, Dennis, Kari, Kristi, Gene Jr., Jenna, Carla, Daren and Jason. Nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She is also survived by her four brothers, Anthony Lisi (Barbara), Robert Lisi (Jan), Dr. Richard Lisi (Carol), and Dr. Kenneth Lisi (Patricia) and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, John Lisi Jr. The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the staff of the 8th floor ICU at St. VIncent's Medical Center for the dedicated care they provided.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 12, 2013 meeting directly at 11 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main Street, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Grassmere By the Sea Adult Day Care Center through the funeral home. Friends may call on Monday from 4-7p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. To light a virtual candle, visit us at www.abriola.com.

Dear Butchie,
I am so sorry. Please accept my deepest condolences. I do not regularly view the obituaries, usually I hear from my Mom. With the snow storm and being in NY during the past 2 days (for my position,) I did not see Ed Perkowski's e-mail till just this minute and Mom's not always on her game, especially with the storm. I'm sorry that I missed your Mom's Service, I will keep her soul in my prayer.
My Father has been gone now for almost 13 years. I do miss him tremendously but ironically I still feel very close to him and love him more than ever. I speak with him always, he is in my life daily! He occupies my mind as I recall his wisdom and I carry him within my heart each and every moment. The memories of him still help us to laugh, cry or think but mostly to enjoy and embrace him in our loving remembrance. On special days, I take him with me by wearing his ring or by another of his possessions. Your Mom may no longer be living on this Earth but she will never be gone - She lives on in you and your family forever, embrace her and never let her go!
May God have called your Mother by her name and may your Mother have heard God's call. I pray for your Mother's peace, that her soul now rests with Our Lord. May she brightly shine down upon the paths you walk and be blessed by God's light. Amen.
Please know that I have also kept your Dad in my prayers till this day since Cap's Mom's Service. Talk soon.
