I just learned of Eliot's passing. My condolences, Phyllis, to you and the whole family. Eliot was a treasure. It was a privilege to know him and to be able to spend some time with him and with you. He taught me a lot about the politics of getting things done and keeping a sense of humor. What a guy!!! I was lucky enough not to have driven with him at the wheel ;) Love to all

Dear Phyllis,

I am deeply saddened by Eliot's death. He was a good friend and mentor. Few know the full extent of his massive contributions to the advancement of those of us with disabilities and to those of us who do, he will always be a hero of the first magnitude.

At this moment, however, i'd rather recall the happy adventures we shared and the warm hospitality you and he always extended to Janet and me.

Our thoughts are with you in this time of mourning.

Phyllis and the entire Dober family:

My deepest sympathy to you all in the loss of Eliot. He was truly a man to be admired. I remember our last visit on our 40th Bassick H.S. reunion and enjoyed seeing you both so much. Take care of yourself Phyllis and keep the good memories of your dear husband in your heart as you go through this sad time.

Dear Phyllis,

I am so sorry to hear about Eliot's recent passing.
Eliot will always hold a special place in my heart. When my daughter was born 27 years ago, he allowed me to job share with another employee and maintain my position. I did not have to choose between family and career. I will always be grateful.
My deepest sympathies to you and your family. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

As a teenager growing up in Bridgeport, I had the opportunity to know and admire Eliot. Both at school and at social activities, his great spirit, intellect and tenacity set a shining example to those around him. In some way, I think knowing Eliot led me to my becoming a physical therapist, a career that gave me 45 years of great satisfaction. His was a life well spent. My condolences to the family.
