Eugene Mauro Obituary

Eugene Harold Mauro
Eugene Harold Mauro, 49, of Milford, passed away suddenly on September 15, 2018 but the loss will be felt for a lifetime. He was the amazing husband of Linda Sepot Mauro and father of the century to Maxwell, William, Theodore and Samantha. He is the son of Reynold and Janet Mauro and brother to Regina (Dave) Mauro Savage, Philip Mauro and Reynold Mauro.
Gene grew up in Shoreham, NY and was a graduate of Fairfield University. It was while attending college that he met his future wife of 25 years, Linda, and began a passionate journey that included four amazing children, much love, happiness and adventure.
Gene had a career that had him working in the gaming industry, education, music, and a never ending stream of startup companies. If you asked family and friends what Gene did for a living, they each might have a different answer or just say honestly that they just weren't sure at the time. Gene liked change in work and always made himself an invaluable expert in whatever he was working on.
Gene's true passion was his family, friends, living life to it's fullest and sitting on the water soaking up the sun. The people he loved and left behind also include his many nieces and nephews, Peter, Michael, Nicole, Ben, Owen, Sam, Christopher, Keara, Haley, Mikaela, Aaron, Liam and Ethan. He loved being an uncle and felt blessed to have them in his life. He will also be missed by his inlaws, Joseph and Joan Sepot, Joe (Claudia), Jeff (Tina), Crissy (Jack) and Gregg. Gene has joined his beloved niece, Tally, in heaven. We love you.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the First United Church of Christ Congregational, 34 West Main St., Milford, CT (MEET DIRECTLY AT CHURCH). Burial will be private. Friends and family are invited to call TODAY, TUESDAY, September 18, 2018, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the CODY-WHITE FUNERAL HOME, 107 Broad St., Milford, CT.
