Frank P. DeCesare

DECESARE Frank P. DeCesare, age 86, a resident of the Vermont Veterans Home in Bennington, died Sunday morning, January 14, 2007. Born in Bridgeport on May 2, 1920, the son of the late Charles and Louisa (Mirabella) DeCesare, Frank served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II and saw much action in the South Pacific region and Guadal Canal. He retired in 1980 from Remington Arms in Bridgeport where he worked as a machinist. Frank resided in Huntington for 51 years. Frank is survived by Marion, his loving wife of 59 years; a daughter, Linda DeCesare; and a son, Brian DeCesare and his wife, Stacy; as well as two grandsons, Tucker Cox and Matthew DeCesare, all of Manchester; two brothers, Charles DeCesare and Salvatore DeCesare from Connecticut; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Florence Nuccitelli, Theresa Boccialetti and Amalia Capozzi. A memorial service celebrating Frank's life will be held on Wednesday (TODAY), January 17 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel at the Vermont Veterans Home. A memorial service will be scheduled in Connecticut at a later date.
