Mrs. Castaldo & Fred Jr. My heart is so sad to hear ofMr. Castaldo passing. I have so many wonderful memories of you both. When I was a little girl we spent so much time on the lake with the Castaldo family. I have one very special memory it was my birthday and Mr. asked me what I want him to get me for my birthday. I said a big lobster just for me. Well is was time to go home and has always you and Mrs. C gave me a big hug and kiss goodbye. A little why while later our doorbell rang and to me surprise there was a huge lobster with a bow on it. The note said Happy Birthday Nikki love Mr. Castaldo. I ate the whole thing myself. And I don't want to forget a story about Mrs. Castaldo when I was little and I got of the lake freezing cold and wet. Mrs. C always had a towel ready for me even though I was wet and cold. She would hug me tight and I would cuddle up in your lap and go to sleep. I love you both and I am very grateful to have you in my life. R.I.P. Mr. C.

Cookie and Junior--
Judy and I are so sorry to hear of Freddie's passing. We just can't believe it! We will miss his belly laugh, his watchful eye, his suggestions (about everything!), his helping spirit, Judy will miss those liver and onion sandwiches. We will miss his drive by, always checking the neighborhood for any activity. He was always willing to help everyone, even when he was annoyed! That's what made Freddie, Freddie. Fred was a great man and important part of my life since before I could remember. A very caring man who always kept a watchful eye over my sister, myself and then my own daughter. I dont have a memory that doesnt include him. My family was very close to the Castaldo's we had family dinners, picnics and of course all day beach days, he was a good sport by putting up with my sister and me when we wanted him to swim with us. He was the only person to talk me into trying liver/onion sandwichs on field day..he made me a special one. Even when we were annoying he would smile at us and put up with us. Fred and Cookie were always fun to be around, And the way he looked at her like he was falling inlove with her all over again would give you hope that good loving men were out there. He was amazing with my daughter who just like i did loved " Mr. Fred and Ms. Cookie." I will miss him and I thank him for so many great memories, and for always watching over me, when I think of Lake Forrest I will always think of him.

Dear Cookie and Freddie,
I am so very sad to hear of Fred's passing. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Fred was a giving and generous man and everyone's comments are right....he would do anything for anyone and always with a smile. I know we haven't seen each other in a while, but the memories made in Lake Forest for 35 years with our children growing up --- our a treasure. I am out of the country and very upset I can't attend Fred's funeral. God Bless you both.
