Bethlehem- It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick "Fred" J. Steinbrick III, 61, of Monroe, CT. Fred is survived by his wife of 36 years Barbara, four children, Nicholas (Kristen), Maxwell (Melissa), Erin (Noah), and his youngest Carly. He also leaves his mother Dorothy and his three siblings, Ellen, Karen (Jim), and Andy (Lynn). Fred loved and cherished his time with his many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Fred is sorely missed. A visitation will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 from 4:00 pm until the opportunity to share memories of Fred's life will begin at 6:30pm at Munson-Lovetere Funeral Home, 235 Main St., N. Fred came highly recommended to do the finish work on a fireplace replacement. Upon meeting Fred, we found him to have such a sweet spirit. From that moment, he was like a friend and as we interacted with him, he became more than a friend - more like family.
He would come in and pass the time of day, casually talking about general things and even sometimes sharing things about his family ,which made his face light up as he talked.
When Fred completed the work on the fireplace, it looked like it was installed when the house was built.
The next project which was a bathroom remodel came out the exact same way.
Fred was a man of detail and he did things the way that they should be done.
Our lives have been enriched by knowing Fred.
He will be deeply missed.

Fred was a wonderful, kind person who loved his family more than anything. He was a skilled carpenter who could do everything and anything. He loved trying to solve a problem and solved many for us. We will miss his warmth and his smile. He was a dear friend. We send his family our deepest sympathy.
