George Bardsley Obituary
George Walter Bardsley III, age 49, of Stratford, beloved husband of Patricia Gately Bardsley, passed away suddenly Thursday, June 16, 2016 in Stratford. Mr. Bardsley was born April 28, 1967 in Bridgeport, son of George and Mary Alice (Lyons) Bardsley Jr. of Shelton. A lifetime area resident, George was a Platt Tech Graduate and a HVAC Mechanic. He loved to read and enjoyed studying history. Survivors, in addition to his wife and parents, include his sister, Kimberly Lencovich of Shelton; a niece, Krista Marie Lencovich; three aunts Theresa Lyons, Frances DeVack and Sharon Lyons and several cousins. Friends are invited to attend a Prayer Service on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St, Stratford. Interment will be private. Friends may visit with the family before service time from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of George may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation, Suite 400, 4742 N. 24th St, Phoenix, AZ., 85016, http://wish.org/.
