On Wednesday November 28, 2012 Gregory J. Sobotka, beloved husband of 18 years to Annamarie Petroccia Sobotka passed away suddenly at St. Vincent's Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of Joseph and Barbara Dry Sobotka. A lifelong resident, Gregory was born in Bridgeport. A veteran of The U.S. Air Force, having attained the rank of Sargent, he had been stationed at Biloxi Mississippi and Alaska. He was a former officer and worker for PJ Murphy Moving and Storage working alongside his father Joe and brother Chris. For the past two years Greg worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Utopia Home Care. Survivors in addition to his wife and parents are his son Jonathan J. Sobotka of Shelton, daughter Alicia and husband Paul Fanciulli lV of Stratford, two step-children Carmen V. Cisero of Seymour, Theresa Petroccia-McKnight and husband Michael of Ansonia, a brother Christopher Sobotka of Ansonia, two grandchildren Paul V and Giovanni Fanciulli, a special friend Lisa Pacelli, as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Mark's Church, 520 Wigwam Lane, Stratford on Tuesday December 4th at 10am with a mass of Christian Burial at 11am followed by interment in St. Michael's Cemetery in Stratford.
