Helen Talemal Obituary

TALEMAL Helen Chamenko Talemal, age 75, of Seymour, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, February 25, 2004. She was the devoted wife for 54 years of Henry Talemal. She was born on January 9, 1929, in Seymour, daughter of the late Constantine and Julia Felenchak Chamenko. She retired as office manager for Dr. Joseph Gagliardi. She was a communicant of St. Augustine‚s Church and a member of the League of the Sacred Heart, Catholic Daughters of America and Oxford Senior Citizens. She graduated third in her Class of 1946, at Seymour High School and was an honor speaker. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her loving family including one son, David J. Talemal and his wife, Diane, of Drexel Hill, Pa.; one daughter, Mary Talemal Paez and her husband, Roc, of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.; two brothers, John Chamenko and his wife, Audrey, and Peter Behuniak and his wife, Stella, all of Seymour; six grandchildren: David Jr., Lauren and Lindsey Talemal, and Courtney, Russell and Matthew Paez. She was predeceased by her brother, Skip Chamenko; and her sisters, Anne Dukeley, Mildred Turick and Evelyn Behuniak. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at the Anthony V. Chepulis Funeral Home, 47 Washington Avenue, Seymour, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Augustine‚s Church. Interment in the family plot at St. Augustine‚s Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in Helen‚s memory to the ALS Foundation or Santa Margarita Catholic High School. The League of the Sacred Heart will meet at 6 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
