Henry Silverman

SILVERMAN Henry Silverman, age 90, died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 in Gainesville, Fla. Mr. Silverman was born in Norwalk to Yetta and Frank Silverman and was a resident of Bridgeport for more than 50 years. He was a lifelong member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom. He was the loving husband of late Eunice Friedman Silverman and the late Ruth Mazur Silverman. Mr. Silverman is survived by his devoted children, Sharon Hirshik and her husband, Andy, of Gainesville, Fla, Sue Kotlen and her husband, Jay, of Trumbull and Bob Tendler and his wife, Debby, of Newtown; his dear grandchildren, Eric Hirshik and his wife, Mandy, Russell Hirshik, Melissa Nagin and her husband, Benjamin, Robyn Kotlen, Jared Tendler, and Jessica Sachs and her husband, Andy; and his adored great-grandchildren, Zachary, Sarah and Alexander Nagin. He is also survived by his sister, Faye Compo and his brothers, Maxwell Silverman and Bernie Silverman.Grave services will take place on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 1 p.m. DIRECTLY in Rodeph Sholom Memorial Park on Kings Highway in Fairfield. The Abraham L. Green and Son Funeral Home is in care of arrangements. Shiva will be observed in the Kotlen residence in Trumbull on Sunday and Monday.
