James A. Knapp

KNAPP James A. Knapp, age 83 of Milford, beloved husband of Josephine Nunno-Knapp, died on Friday, August 20, 2010. Mr. Knapp was born in Bridgeport on December 12, 1926 and was a Milford resident for many years. He was employed at Borden's Dairy for many years. Mr. Knapp was a member of the Miford Senior Center and the Men's Club at the Center and also a member of Westshore Senior Club. Survivors, in addition to his wife, Josephine, include a daughter, Delores Allen of New Mexico; a son-in-law, Richard Scholz; a granddaughter, Margaret Scholz, both of Milford; a sister, Joyce Beveridge of Virginia; stepchildren, Robert Nunno of Florida, Christopher Nunno of Kentucky, Richard Nunno of Washington, D.C. and Susan Lukas and her husband, Robert J. of Milford. Mr. Knapp was predeceased by his first wife, Florence Knapp; a daughter, Mary Scholz; and a stepson, James Nunno. Friends are invited to attend the funeral on Tuesday at 9:45am DIRECTLY in St. Gabriel Church, 26 Broadway, Milford, with a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. Friends may call on Monday 3 to 6 p.m. in The Gregory F. Doyle Funeral Home, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Gabriel Church in Mr. Knapp's memory.
