James Noce Obituary

James "Jimmy" Noce
James "Jimmy" S. Noce, age 56, of Monroe, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne (Kastensmidt) Noce. Born in Bridgeport on July 12, 1968, he was a son of Eugenia (DelVecchio) Noce and the late Vincent L. Noce, Sr. and was a longtime resident of Monroe.
James was a graduate of Fairfield Prep, class of 1986 and Xavier University, 1990 where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Jim worked hard all of his life, starting at an early age at Pequonnock Iron Works in Bridgeport doing odd jobs around the plant and working his way to become owner in 1997. Jim was a generous man, always giving back to others and was always there to lend a hand or advice to his family, coworkers and friends. He always had a smile on his face to go along with his infectious laugh that was seen while telling the thousands of stories he loved to tell. He had the ability to talk to anyone and would always have a crowd around him at every event. When he wasn't working, Jimmy could be found working tirelessly in his yard. His labor of love was tending to his impeccably mulched beds, colorful flowers and meticulous lawn. A true sports fan, he followed all the New York Teams, The Yankees, Giants, Knicks, Rangers and even the Mets on occasion. Above all family was the most important part of his life and his legacy will live on through his wife and daughters and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle.
In addition to the love of his life and devoted teammate Suzanne of 30 years and his mother Eugenia, survivors include his two cherished daughters, Alyssa and Jessica, his brother, Vincent Noce, Jr. and Amanda Riesinger, his sister, Gina Griffin and her husband Bill, nieces and nephews, Deneé Cavaliere and her fiancé Sal, Nicole Noce, Vincent Cavaliere and Gabrielle Noce, his father-in-law, John Kastensmidt, brothers and sisters-in-law, Sharon Dooley, Pat Kastensmidt, John Kastensmidt and his wife Keyla and Kevin Kastensmidt and his wife Amy as well as many other nieces and nephews in Kentucky. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Joan Kastensmidt.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 12, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe. Interment will follow in the St. Catherine Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, May 11th from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis, TN 38105 or at www.stjude.org or to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. My heart goes out to the entire Noce family, and all those impacted by the passing of Jimmy. As early as 5am each day at the gym, Jimmy would have a smile on his face, and prepared to make everyone's morning with his infectious personality. He cherished his family, and made sure we all knew it. You will be missed, Jim!!
