Janakshree Srinivasan, MD, age 45, of Shelton, passed away on February 8, 2014 in St. Vincent's Medical Center. She is survived by her parents, Rangasayee and Kamala Srinivasan; her brothers, Jagannath Srinivasan, and his wife, Shipra, of New Delhi and Dr. Janardhan Srinivasan, of South Boston, VA; her grandmother and several aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends in India and the United States, all of whom she cherished. Dr. Janakshree Srinivasan received her Medical Degree in India and came to the United States in 1994 for her residency at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport from 1994-98, and as Chief Resident from 1997 to 1998. She practiced medicine at South West Community Health Center in Bridgeport from 1998-2014, where she was recently commended for fifteen years of exemplary service. She was a talented, compassionate physician who truly enjoyed helping her patients. She loved music, reading, traveling, watching sports, especially cricket and Indian movies. Private services were held on Wednesday and were entrusted to the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, in Fairfield Center.
