Attorney Jay Christopher Lyons, 74, peacefully entered heaven on March 31, 2025, in Wallingford, Connecticut. Born on September 14, 1950, in Norwich, Connecticut, Jay lived a life marked by dedication to justice, deep spirituality, and unwavering commitment to those he served.
Jay was part of a large and loving family. He is fondly remembered by his brothers: Reverend Timothy Lyons OFM Conv. and Doug Lyons; and his sisters: Mary Krentzman(Jack),
Martha Desrosiers, Joan Plavnicky(Richard) and Elizabeth Finelli(Edward). He was predeceased by his loving parents, John F. Lyons Jr. and Rhea A. Lyons.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2025, at 10:30 AM in Saint Lawrence Church, located at 505 Shelton Avenue in Shelton, Connecticut.
May Jay's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and may his legacy of service and faith continue to inspire all whose lives he touched.

I met Jay at Christ The King Prep. He was a few years ahead of me, but his kindness and welcoming were reasons I decided to go there. I will always remember him with great fondness and respect. May God´s Eternal Light shine upon him. My condolences to his family.

I knew Jay many years ago now as we were attorneys who represented indigent parents and children out of the Bridgeport Juvenile Court. We both served on a panel of court appointed attorneys. He was always professional, gentle and kind. I will always remember him fondly. Rest in peace, Jay.
