Barber, John Sr..
Mr. John R. Barber, Sr. age 82, beloved husband for 59 years to Barbara M. (Trybus) Barber of Oxford, passed away on March 13, 2013 surrounded by his family at his home.He was born on August 21, 1930 in Oxford and is the son of the late Joseph Babiarz Barber and Rose (Rzeszutek) Barber. Mr. Barber was a General Contractor for many years in the area and previously worked as a Floor Leader at Uniroyal. In addition to his wife, Mr. Barber leaves his devoted son, John R. Barber and his wife Pamela of Wilbarham, MA and devoted daughter, Patricia Norton and her husband, Michael of Medford, NJ and six grandchildren, Kate and Philip Barber, Nicole, Matthew, Shane and Maya Norton. He also leaves two sisters, Helen Zielinski and Irene Dziadik both of Seymour. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 20 at 9:15 a.m. at the Ralph E. Hull Funeral Home, 161 West Church St, Seymour followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Oxford. Interment in St. Augustine's Cemetery, Seymour. Family and Friends may call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 825 Brook St. I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067. To share a memory online please go to www.hullfh.com
