Bob, John S. Bob, age 95, of Stratford, beloved husband of Mary Churma Bob passed away peacefully on July 17, 2014 in Connecticut Hospice Branford with his loving family by his side. John was born on June 22, 1919 in Bridgeport and was the son of the late John and Ann Boscak Bob. He was employed by Remington Arms as a tool setter/machine operator and was a member of the Quarter Century Club of Remington Arms, the DuPont Retiree's Club, the Baldwin Center, Slovak Catholic Sokols Wreath #9 and the Slovak National Sokols. In addition to his beloved wife, Mary, John is also survived by one son, John G. Bob and wife Kelly of Stratford, one daughter, Evelyn Story and husband Thomas of Milford, four grandchildren, Eric Story and wife Laura, Samantha Bob, Andrew Bob and Emily Bob, two great grandchildren, Gianna Story and Eric Story, one brother, Michael Bob and wife Margaret of Slovakia and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Monday, July 21, 2014 at 10:30 AM DIRECTLY in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Foster Gardiner. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery Stratford.
