John Chapell Obituary
John Tree Chapell, 58, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019, at his home.
He was born December 2, 1960, in Hartford County, CT. John graduated from Roger Ludlow High School in 1979. On July 9, 2004, he married Amee Tannahill in Maui, HI. John was employed as a Graphic Production Artist most of his career. He was a lover of golf, guitars and cars. John also enjoyed going to the shooting range, cooking and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Chapell.
Survivors include his mother, Ann Baldwin Chapell; his wife, Amee Tannahill Chapell; brothers, Robert Chapell and his wife, Alice, Lewis Chapell and David Chapell; sister, Laura Chapell Neary and her husband, Hugh; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.

Johnny C - what an amazing guy. I hope his wife (AMY) sees this post. We were neighbors back in the late 80's/90's - became good friends....a whole group of us - like that TV show FRIENDS - I remember so clearly sitting on the front porch of our building with his cat - Shoomee - and him saying "When am I going to find someone?" He was lonely and I totally understood. But all I said is "She's on her way - God's just taking His time to find the perfect one for you." And while time, distance and life got in the way of us speaking like we used to on that front porch. He did call me many years ago and said "You were right....I found her." And it was you. I hope this gives you comfort. I'm so sorry. Like I said - Johnny C - WHAT AN AMAZING MAN.

I learned with sadness of John's passing through Swan Engraving friends. He passed too soon and I'm thinking there are those who miss him dearly. I hope their grief will eventually lessen, believing that John is as rest in the arms of our loving Creator.
