John Krzewicki Obituary

KRZEWICKI Mr. John Anthony Krzewicki Jr., age 74, beloved husband of Maryanne Szczecinski Krzewicki of Milford, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 in Yale-New Haven Hospital. Son of the late Blanche Lapinski and John A. Krzewicki Sr., he was born on January 31, 1932 in Brooklyn, N.Y., and attended schools in Brooklyn and Bronx, N.Y. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Mr. Krzewicki retired from the N.Y.S. Thruway Authority and was a Milford School crossing guard. He was a Past Grand Knight of Cardinal Hayes Council 3995 in Yonkers, N.Y. John was also a 4th degree Knights of Columbus in the Dr. John G. Coyle Assembly in White Plains, N.Y. He was also a past president of the Polish Center AA in Yonkers, N.Y., a member of the Thaddeus Kosciuszko Society, and the Milford Senior Center. In addition to his wife Maryanne, he leaves a son, Michael A. Krzewicki and his wife, Claudia, of Milford; a granddaughter, Sofia Rose; a brother, Henry Krzewicki and his wife, Dotty, of Warren, Mich.; a sister, Eleanore Bouteiller of Michigan; a goddaughter, Lynn Marie Richard of California, and two godsons, Colin Roche of Illinois and Matthew Irvine of New York. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a stepfather, Louis Zaremba and three brothers, Edward Kaye, Lawrence, and Leon Krzewicki. Funeral Services from the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford, on Friday, October 27 at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Christ the Redeemer Church, Milford. Entombment in Rose Hill Memorial Park, Putnam Valley, N.Y. Friends may call on Thursday from 3 to 7 p.m. www.codywhitefuneralservice.com.
