John Larsen Obituary

LARSEN John B. Larsen, age 53, of Valley Court Branford, entered into rest on Friday, July 3, 2009 at Connecticut Hospice Branford. John was born in Columbia S.C. April 20, 1956 son of the late John C. "Red" Larsen of Shelton and Catherine A. Ebling who now resides in Irmo, S.C. John was employed at Brooke & Whittle of North Branford as an Inventory Specialist and attended the First Congregational Church of Branford. He was a 1974 graduate of The Hopkins School New Haven and graduated from Naugatuck Valley Community College. In addition to his mother Catherine, John is survived by his brother Clayton Larsen and his wife Susan of Wilton CT and nephews Chip, Trent and Preston. John's aunts and uncles include Joseph Ramia, Eva Ogle, Mary Ellen Ramia, Thomas Ramia and numerous cousins. John was god-father to Zachary Clark Johnson of Branford and also leaves many friends who cherished his company and welcomed him to their homes as family. Public calling hours will be held Thursday, July 9 at the Riverview Funeral Home 390 River Road Shelton from 4 to 7 p.m.. Friends are invited to a funeral service on Friday July 10 at 11a.m. at Riverview Funeral Home with burial immediately following at Riverside Cemetery Shelton. In lieu of flowers family requests that donations can be made in John's memory to Connecticut Hospice, 100 Double Beach Road Branford, CT 06405-4909 or online at www.hospice.com.
